is a theme. The psychiatrist feels guilty that he couldn’t help the guy that
committed suicide. I think this is connected to the basement.
This is a religious movie too. The reason I say that is the boy goes to
church to
feel safe and for comfort. I think the basement is hell. He feels guilty.
Opening credits tell the actors, director, producer, writer, etc. But
they set the tone for
the movie too. Usually has music. Tarantino is known for great opening
credits.
